New research has shown that the non-hallucinogenic components of cannabis could act as effective anti-cancer agents.

The anti-cancer properties of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the primary hallucinogenic component of cannabis, has been recognised for many years, but research into similar cannabis-derived compounds, known as cannabinoids, has been limited.


The study was carried out by a team at St George's, University of London. It has been published in the journal Anticancer Research.
The team, led by Dr Wai Liu and colleagues carried out laboratory investigations using a number of cannabinoids, either alone or in combination with each other, to measure their anti-cancer actions in relation to leukemia.


Of six cannabinoids studied, each demonstrated anti-cancer properties as effective as those seen in THC. Importantly, they had an increased effect on cancer cells when combined with each other.
Dr Liu said: "This study is a critical step in unpicking the mysteries of cannabis as a source of medicine. The cannabinoids examined have minimal, if any, hallucinogenic side effects, and their properties as anti-cancer agents are promising.
"These agents are able to interfere with the development of cancerous cells, stopping them in their tracks and preventing them from growing.

This is why we need to make Cannabis legal in every way to research labs!!

the drug company are going to take a hit soon.i always thought that it was crazy that it was illegal.now they are going to make it sound like they have unlocked secrects about it.you can soon ,well in some states now get a drug that doesnt have 10.000 side effects

I have a friend who has been taking cannabis oil (RSO) for over 5 months.

He said smoking a joint has no effect on him after taking the oil for the first two months..
he doesn't get a high from the oil unless a large dose is taken. He takes a small amount three times a day.

He has had three prostate biopsies.. the first one was a year and a half ago. It showed no cancer even with a high PSA test.
The second biopsy was February of this year.. the result showed a small amount of cancer in one of the 14 samples taken.
His last biopsy was October 30.. the results hasn't changed, with only a small amount of cancer in one of the 14 samples. Maybe the oil has stopped the growth? Next biopsy will be around May?

I asked him about any side effects from taking the oil...

He has arthritis in both hands.. in both shoulders.. and in his back. He retired early at age 62 because of his back was giving a lot of problems. After taking the oil, his arthritis hasn't bothered him.. no pain.

He was taking blood pressure medicine, but after taking the oil he stopped because his blood pressure dropped to lower levels.. last several checks has shown his blood pressure is normal.

He said his vision has also improved. He said colors seem to be brighter and things look more in focus.

He said he sleeps better and doesn't need to visit the bathroom one or two times during the night.
and his prostate has returned to normal size.

I asked about any bad side effects... he said, "none"!
