Not Many Louisiana Hunters here.

I am not from La but live fairly close in MS and I hunt over near Waveland MS sometimes. I don't know anyone from La or in the Slidell / Pearl River area but would be willing to hunt with someone in that area. I am about 50 miles from Slidell

I'm in Lake Charles, have a buddy I hunt with but he is only available on the weekends so if anyone is close and wants to do some hunting during the week, I would be interested.

Hello to all my fellow Louisianan treasure hunters! I'm from Shreveport & assumed I was the only one around here digging in the dirt. I'd love to know what interesting things you guys have found in the area. :cat:

Im fairly new to the hobby.... (memorial day).... But I have so far found 2 rings (1 gold, 1 silver) here in Shreveport. I need to start working on some permissions

I'm from Abita Springs Louisiana right outside of New Orleans and I have a horrible detecting addiction. I am fortunate to have a job where I can metal detect every day which I do. I'm running out of places so if anyone of y'all feeling the Christmas spirit to throw me a hotspot let me know :)))

I am S'port local too. Really been hooked since I found 1925 Mercury, several wheaties, old electric car parts, a Bernstein Bros tag dated Jan. 2014, WWI canteen stopper, gold locket at my office in an old 1901 Victorian. Found 1850 o seated half-time and my daughter found 1891 o Morgan dollar, same day surface finds in a cotton field! What else? 1892 Centavo, 3 Widows condom tin from 1920s.

My favorite is researching and learning about the local history and TN has been great for identifying odd items. MD'ing works like a slot machine, intermittent reinforcement! "Guess I should go home...ding...ding...ding...a 1960's Lincoln....okay, just a few more minutes" lol

I just wish I had a better detector and did NOT have my new nemesis aka rheumatoid arthritis. So much history, so little time!

Hey all,

I'm in S'port also. Just today I found a 1940s Wheatie in the front yard. Anyone need a wingman?

We should all get together and plan some detecting days! With it looking like a warm winter, we don't have to worry about snow hahaha

Hey Donald I'm Dean I live in the Covington half a mile from Abita Springs. I metal detect all the time buy myself. We sound like a good team because I will travel anywhere too. If you ever want to meet up let me know. I don't really know one other person who even metal detects and I met him at City Park but that's it.
