I´m hunting under water since 1988. I´ve hunt in several countries and in all spanish coast. I think that I had all the waterproof metal detectors avaliable in markets and since now I´ve prefer the Excalibur. Finally, in may I reach my main goal: make a custom waterproo Explorer XS and now I can say: THIS IS THE BEST WATER METAL DETECTOR IN THE WHOLE WORLD. The jewls that appear in the pictures are june´s job, I find them in places where other water detectors didnt find anything. Treasure Hunting never was so fun!!!!.
Now in my display I can see what kind of conductivity or iron has the objects, the deep and the size... All this plus the 28 frecuencies (from 1,5 to 100 khz) makes this machine the best one that I never had.
My next goal is make a waterproof E-TRACK, and I hope to get it as soon as possible.

Best regards to all treasure hunters from Spain.

PD. Sorry for my bad english.

Way cool. Looks like you have sealed up the electrical housing and added a pressure valve, for one thing.

Hope you are not using regular compressed air for pressurization. It contains all the humidity that was in the air that was pumped into the compressor. And that is what you are trying to keep out.
The use of nitrogen eliminates any and all moisture because there is none in the final product. Further Nitrogen is not flammable and non-toxic. It will displace oxygen in closed areas, in quantities, however.

There are some specialty compressors that have humidity removing components. Telephone company pressurized cable compressors are devised to ensure a dry air output with 0 humidity, but are fairly expensive.

Best of luck with your endeavor.
