Hi folks. This is my first US silver half dollar found for 9 seasons of digging and 6th silver half dollar in total with 5 Canadian ones. This is also a love token with the nice letter M engraved. It is the one from an old English alphabet. The pictures were taken after cleaning this find in ultrasonic cleaner. Cause the hinge didn't work before. Now it is ok after 90 sec of cleaning. Found it in Toronto area. The huge park had a virgine spot aproximatelly 30×30 meters where I pulled lots goodies out. This is the oldest silver coin I ever found as well. Very happy with this find folks.... Somebody's big love sign/token is here in front of your eyes. Real treasure, eih!!!!

That's a really sweet recovery, congrats on the Love token 1/2 dollar.
Great design/script as well, not to mention getting the clasp.

These Love tokens don't come around often enough as I've only dug one myself 15 yrs ago in a very large park in Toronto, though it was only a 25 cent piece. I've seen dimes, a few quarters, but never a half!.
Recovered it down the slope in the ravine from the Colburn Lodge in the park. (I'm sure you know exactly where I'm referring to)

Thank you, Buddy! This find is, actually, one of two my favorite finds of the season.

Hey, Buddy! Nice love token btw!!!
Yes, I know that side of the park and didn't get much luck there. 2 years ago ,though, one buddy found Spanish silver there and cool WWI patriotic silver brooch.
That love token is my second one. My first one was made of Canadian Victorian 5 center and has only two letters punched on Victorian bust. THANK YOU for the interesting comment!

That's a great coin and relic! I've never found the US silver that old, hopefully one day.
Big congratulations!
Hey, Buddy! This is my oldest silver coin found. Before that find I had my oldest silver coin 1857 US half dime. So I beat my personal record with almost half a century :headbang:Thank you!

Congrats on that awesome love token. I have never found one myself,, and I’ve only seen them on dimes. That is such a great and personal item.

I have come back to stare at this piece several times now....and I don't think I am off base too far to say I hope to see it make it up top. I'm thinking so, being an early US half, pimped out into a love token, complete with clasp....has that look...Yea, I'm thinking banner.
