That looks similar to a bunch of the easy access spots around here (western washington). The gravel and sand bars are a place that irresponsible people like to party and hope the river cleans up their messes. I try to grab at least an armful on the way out each time I mine, hoping some day it'll all be gone.

I always pick up the trash in my immediate area before I set up my sluice. It's a good way to check out a new spot, makes the rest of my stay more pleasant and if anyone challenges my presence, the trash pickup makes a good comeback to them :)

Come to our backyard along the Arizona / Mexico border. There are hundreds of thousand backpacks, shoes, shirts, pants, water jug, etc. that illegals leave behind on their quest to reach the promise land where we Arizonian are being taxed to death because our government cannot secure our borders. Canyons full of trash. The illegals use the washes to work their way up from the border hoping to make it further north to work in the fields where Americans are too proud to take a job, yet will go on Welfare to support their families and further put the burden on those that pay taxes. Arizona made the news again last week where our government wants to house 40 illegals at the boy’s ranch in Oracle, Arizona. Obama and crew are spending 14 million dollars to get the ranch ready for their arrival. The town of Oracle does not want them as some have been tested and have TB, some are gang bangers, etc. The boy’s ranch is not a secured area and these kids can run off on a moment’s notice.

WHAT A JOKE

There are roughly 278,460 illegal aliens working in Arizona and over 1500 crossing into Arizona daily. This is after many attempts to put up walls of steel. Been many attempts to scale the wall. Some of the many portable and stationary cameras. There are thousands of sensors in the ground to detect foot traffic.

where are the bleeding heart dems now? youd think they would want to pay someone to go pick up these cloths/backpacks and wash them and give them back to the illegal innigrants that left them there , and then charge the American public for doing this for them! o and his cohearts need to be driven out of office! our Country is in bad enough shape now with o's help!

Seeing these pics ... is devastating.

The US is being invaded and the Feds sit back and seem to some how enjoy the attack, like a bunch of perverts.

Duckwalk, I wish it was just a teenage party. But in border states, this is not the case. The EF of the San Gabriel river has a ridiculous trash problem, added to weekly. Not just drink containers, it's baby diapers, and every thing else these families pack in for their weekend. I always bring a box of trash bags when I go, I'll fill a couple and pass the rest around. I wish they would just take their third world habits and ethics and return to where this all comes from.

When I lived in Fallbrook -- San Diego County, we were warned to stay out of the beautiful little river there, because human defecation led to hepatitis showing up in the water. Who craps in a river? The 200 illegals living in the woods, that is who. Recently I hiked to the Bronson Caves, better know as the Bat Cave from the original TV series (it is actually not a cave but a tunnel blasted into the side of a mountain in a quarry). I was about 100 feet from the tunnel mouth and a guy hurried out -- without -- a dog. The pile was right inside the entrance and the stench (prolly has liver disease) was horrible. Yup. Appears this filthy beast crapped in the infamous bat cave.

Drones patrolling the border along with the National Guard would put an end to it!
Too bad the powers that be are making too much $$$ from the cartel payoffs to allow any real policing of the border. (only explanation that makes sense)

No, not really. The off-shore immigrants of generations ago had to work or they would starve.

The illegal immigrants of today steal IDs, because, they are illegal, and need legal documents to be here. We don't know who they really are. There are some felons and untreated mental patients. Illegal immigration is not a victimless crime.

And many feed from the public trough and receive either HUD, WIC, food stamps, free medical, and welfare. This is all possible with false documentation. We have hungry American kids; we cannot afford to take in illegals.

I can understand folks wanting a better life. And there is a legal route for immigration. Many attempting to enter illegally don't even live through the experience. Their handlers (human traffickers) do not care for their safety and well being. Some die in crowded vechicles, or out in the scorching desert. And for all that the cost is around $8000. (Usually paid by a relative already here).

I am not racially biased against any one group. We are all more alike than we are different. My favorite Uncle is Mexican. And my best friend at work is from Mexico. He told me last week he wants all the illegals deported. He said if we gave them Disneyland, they'd strip it and turn it into a giant swap meet (flea market) over night. Yikes, I like my Disneyland just the way it is.

I may have hit on a sensitive topic and pull a time out for writing this. Ok.

That was a good question Kiddo.

The sun is still up, now let's go get some gold! (...and bring a bag in case you have to clean-up after mess makers. Sigh).

I still don't think its illegal immigrants or immigrants in general that are the problem

they don't "steal" jobs, they take jobs Americans aren't willing to take in factories, farms ,and more than likely mines

and I hate the "you have to go to college mentality" yes I know it helps a lot

but if you can get through high school you can get a job that immigrants are "stealing" but people would rather
live off food stamps than drive a pickup truck or weld for a living

Just to clarify one point kiddo, you use quotation marks around "steal" jobs. To clarify to others, you are not quoting me. I never mentioned illegals wanting, or stealing, jobs.

How's your sites -- trash wise -- on your side of the continent? Funny thing -- the old trash, we often refer to as treasure! :icon_thumleft:

Kiddo , try to earn a living in construction and then try to tell us that illegals are not stealing jobs . And tools!! These are certainly jobs that Americans would love to do. Additionally while taking jobs they also receive food stamps , welfare .WICS,ect. You may ask how can that be ? ID theft. An illegal may have 3 or 4 IDs . Quite a system.
