Several companies make them for use as generic sporting trophies for both rugby and football (soccer) competitions, including Burns Crystal in Scotland.

What pushes the price up for the one you found on the net is that it's engraved on the toe with Manchester City's club logo and motto and has a plinth confirming it's a sponsorship item. Memorabilia from leading football clubs is highly collectible and tends to command high prices.

Without those attributions, an unengraved lead crystal shoe direct from the supplier would cost you rather less than half that.
