Had a surprise visit today.

She'll be back,she's nursing,never saw a red around anywhere in Agawam,and I've been around everywhere.I'll get her used to me,and she'll be eating right out of my hand,they're friendly critters. Didn't take her long and she dove right in,then she ran over and looked right at me,she ran off after a full belly,up up a tree,out on a limb washing up. Like the crow mama a few years back,brought her young in to eat.

Leave an old bone out for them. My neighborhood squirrels have be working on getting their calcium and teeth sharpening for a few years now on this one. It's sat by the base of my cottonwood for some time. My honey asked once if I'd seen that bone in the yard. I said yeah I leave there for the squirrels. She just said Oh Brother, I don't think our neighbors appreciate you enticing squirrels to hang around.

I believe it's that reason its illegal to gather sheds on public lands in Colorado. The Marmots, Chipmunks Squirrels and mice need those antlers to chew on. Antlers are the best to use.
