A shocking find on the summit of Ghost Mound​

Your first pic is probably not at Ghost Mound, but one of the many mounds in the area. Been there many times, camped there too. Never saw any ghosts there. Didn't know about the dinosaur tracks but the story about the footprint is it is the last step of an Indian maiden who leapt to her death after losing her lover. Something like that. Lots of stories about that place. It is true the old California Road passed nearby and the old road from Ft. Reno to Seger Colony went right by it. A few treasure hunts took place there long ago that you can probably look up but not much came of them. I know the people who own the place, most of the folks who live around there, and not one has a ghost story to share. Still, you got to have a few stories to scare the grandkids around the campfire at night, haha! If you want to find a better place that needs more investigation, go on farther west to Twin Mounds a little south of Payne's lake. Lots of graffiti on the rocks from early day settlers, but a few even I think might have a more important meaning.

It's why I Don't believe 99.9% of Indian tales.
Especially the Romantic ones
then there is the hocus pocus ones

Yeah Jeff, kinda like Geronimo leaping his horse off Medicine Bluff down at Ft. Sill while being pursued by soldiers. Never happened, but good story. And I generally don't believe a 100% of NDN tales told by white folks. However, those elders of tribes are not always the stoic guys you see on that nickel, and believe me they are not above comin up with a few of their own 'Indian Legends', haha!
