This one was good in its day, but now would be considered heavy and eating batteries compared to todays.

actually the 1260 is a very good detector. the way it is balanced makes it feel much lighter than the 3.7 lbs it weighs. I owned 2 of them back in the early 80's and found tons of good stuff with them. they blew the competition away when they first were released and I still wouldn't feel undergunned using one today.

The 1260 is a very mild tuned detector.The depth isn't bad but no comparison with the 1265-X or 1266-X.Probably out dated but a good detector for someone on a budget.
