Hours Detecting: Me 257 hrs, Cru'Dad 265 hrs, Grand Total = 522hrs
Its been a very mixed year & our results reflect the low hours we did this year, more than 35% lower than normal.
However, we still managed our best Hammered year by 1 coin (beat 2009).
We mostly focused on Saxon & Medieval areas, which is why we done well on the Sceats but poorly on the Roman Coins. (partly due to a lack of deeply ploughed Roman Sites that we have gridded well in the past)
No Celtic Gold this year but we (Cru'dad) got 2 unusual Gold Coins;
Overall for the hours done, it was a good year.

The Track-Way Site - Day 7 - 2 Hammered, SAXON SCEAT & CAROLINGIAN GOLD COIN...
Wow, what a day... worked hard for it; in the morning battling the frozen ground & then walking in soup in the afternoon. For some time we have thought this field our best hope for our Wish List No.2 - Saxon Gold Coin; like the British Crondall types or I would have excepted the Frankish...
