Coffee Table ID

Potentially homemade. Purchased from an Atlanta area yard sale and owners were not sure how they came to own the piece. There is also an identical matching side table. Any help is very much appreciated!

I would lean towards home made/artisan made just because of the use of what looks like galvanized hardware out of your local store, something that I have almost never seen used on mass produced furniture. It is usually brass or chrome plated when made by a larger. any evidence of a tag or stamp on the bottom somewhere? or discolorations that indicated there was a tag at some point?

No markings or branding. Attached a photo of the bottom for reference.

I will tell you this... someone put a ton of work into that.

I am leaning towards a "one off".... made by someone who was into woodworking.
