Civil war bullet I.D. please.

Found this unique civil war bullet yesterday. Looks somewhat like an enfield, but cone is too sharp. The bullet is .50 in diameter, and .83 in length. It has the charateristics of a cosmopolitan carbine bullet, but not sure. The base is solid, with the ecxeption of a thin rim. I don't k ow if this was caused from being fired. I have placed a 3 ringer next to it just for comparison. Thoughts?
