I was at the supermarket this afternoon, reloading on bananas, and as usual I swooped by the Coinstar machine. It's at a convenient spot near the entrance, and I've been checking it (fruitlessly) for months now. Today was my first find there... 70 cents of clad, and three Philippine coins 1989-1996. We can also see the machine from the checkout line, and as we were checking out my wife noticed a man cashing in a large bag of change. My wife turned to me and said, "Let's wait and check the tray after he's done!" After five minutes we decided to hurry home (that guy had a LOT of change), but I think she's hooked!
Also pictured are four sequential $1 bills I got from checkout. I'm sure it's common as they likely reloaded with a fresh bundle of new ones from the bank, but it was nifty to see nonetheless.
UPDATE: for the tracking list, those foreign coins are:
Philippines, 5 Sentimos (1989)
Philippines, 10 Sentimos (1995)
Philippines, 25 Sentimos (1996)
