this grinding stone was a lucky find. a shallow lake dried up during a drought and this was laying by what once was a creek at the lake bottom.

Nice artifact's you have there a coiple of nice point's and some good looking blades. That is a nice grinding stone.

West Central in Knox county around galesburg illinois. Creeks are really low around here too.

you hunt around the Illinois river much?? almost everything pictured came from Cass county, not far from the river.

No but I do a lot of hunting around spoon river and it runs into the illinois river. I don't have anywhere to hunt around illinois river but spoon is pretty good also

i'll be checking some creeks tomorrow. it's looking to be a good hunt since we have had hardly any rain around here for the last 3-4 weeks
