This bottle had an aluminum cap that was glued to a cork in the top. I hit the top and broke it off .Update--->
What i thought was cork was paper that was stuffed in the end of the bottle and it looked like cork.
Not glued like i thought.
It looks like the paper inside the bottle was holding the cap and wasn't screwed on tight. half pint 002.JPGhalf pint 004.JPGhalf pint 005.JPGhalf pint 006.JPGhalf pint 007.JPGhalf pint 008.JPGhalf pint 009.JPGhalf pint 010.JPGhalf pint 011.JPG

The cap say's FRUIT INDUSTRIES LTD

Federal law forbids sale or reuse of this bottle .
The bottom has R-421 and an R in a triangle and 1-6 .

one side has a 180 and the other side has 5 .

The paper in the small neck is damp and past the small neck the paper is larger so the only way i can get it out is break it so i might do it if the bottle hasen't much value.

The paper inside has lines and at the top it is printed REPORT NO. --- KIND --- STORE and at the bottom --- TOTAL
And were the paper over laps in the middle someone wrote bar- and what might be barn . written with a pencil .Not ink as thought.

The bottle is from after 1935, the time period where federal law prohibits....was embossed on liquor bottles. Not a lot of value thereally so I would break it to get to the paper if it were me.

Ohhhhhhh....I want to read the note! Suspense.....Drumroll....:

This is getting interesting! And I just got here. :icon_scratch:

Could be this person buried his treasure as they did not trust the banks and then buries directions to the treasure in case he forgets where he buried the treasure....whew!
Or it could be an old bar tab...lol

Ughhh.....I've got a hurricane barreling down on me. I might not be here at 1pm Friday. Dang.

you break open and it says "This bottle once belonged to Al Capone...do not destroy or discard" :tongue3:

That's really cool! I would leave it in the bottle if it won't come out, it's a pretty rare find as is.
