I went to the bank to deposit some change yesterday..... and the machine broke. The manager came over, opened it up, and started to take out all the coins the machine doesn't usually take (gold presidential dollars, foreign money, etc) and gave it all to me. I said I didn't put any presidential dollars or foreign money in, but he said there's no way to know for sure and that the bank can't keep other people's money that was put into the machine, so I'll have to keep it. I ended up with all my change, plus a gold plated ring, play money, foreign money, a 1943 steel cent, and forty presidential gold dollars! ;D

Nice! what is the coin third from bottom row two in from the right? Might be a silver canadian dime, a date would help :)

rule #1 if folks are trying to give you 'free" money --shut up and "accept it" ;D :icon_thumright:

It looks to big to be a dime (as it seems to be right next to a dime), it looks to be most likely a nickel, and since Canadian nickels were pure nickel, it would stick to the magnet and be rejected.

That would be awesome. But nah, it says no cash value on the back, play money.

Cleaned up the rusty steel cent. A little salted lemon juice and a rag. Then rubbed on a little mineral oil. Like new! :)
