Great stuff! Love the Machin Mills! That is a GREAT coin in FANTASTIC condition. The cufflink I bet was a great surprise too. I also like the jews harps and what looks like a bayonet frog (?). All great finds--and looking forward to seeing what you dig in 2017! Our season isn't over until the calendar year is over, so we're flying into high gear here and trying to make some good finds before the closing bell. Gotta make up for how stupid busy we were all year! :D

Cheers,

Buck

Nice to get first after a decade (+) of digging, and in nice shape.
Judging from the pile of buttons, and coppers you got out a few times for sure.
Looking at the long range forecast, and the white stuff outside I guess I am done too.

You still killed it on the buttons.. nice pile and had chances at a nice early one...that Machin's Mills copper is sweet...Now to get the gold monkey off your back it's hard enough to get...Nothing wrong with any of those finds and I have a feeling that gold turned things around for you next season...See you in February ....

Great year, but as a colonial coin collector it's the Machin's piece that stood out to me. Fabulous condition for a ground copper. For those who don't know, the easiest way to spot a Machin's Mill piece is the reverse shield. British pieces have bars in the shield outlined and Machin's do not. Nice going!

Now that is a pile of buttons for one year. That's five years worth of buttons for me. You have a nice assortment of military relics in there too. I bet you dug a ton of musket balls. That many targets from that time period should produce a few killer relics and coins. And it did :icon_thumleft:
