The National Park Service and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) are collaborating on a special project to transcribe the pension records of more than 80,000 of America’s first veterans and their widows. The project will make a permanent contribution to the historical record for the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.

You could be the first person in 200 years to learn their stories!

My 5th great grand father Anthony Brandenburgh appeared in court in Warren County Ohio on Sept. 16, 1833 and gave his account of his service in the Revolutionary War
Anthony Cornelius Brandenburg
Birthdate:February 1761
Birthplace:Germantown, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, Colonial America
Death:November 14, 1842 (81)
Clear Creek, Warren County, OH, United States

This is an example of the original hand written record of my Great Grand x 5 that was transcribed and annotated by a C. Leon Harris. Looks like a lot of work cut-out for anyone willing to take on this project to uncover some of what would be first hand accounts from many a common soldier during these historical times in our nation.
