I had that 8 track in Quadrophonic !
That Song was my Favorite !
Hearing that & the Echo's at Full Volume while being high ! !!! Not Much Better out there Back then :laughing7:

I Also Remember Walking into a book Shop back in the 70's
on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City.
& he or his Doppelganger was Sitting in the back Reading a Book. Not 100% sure it was him, Or the reason he would have been there, Book Signing ? Or Just a reader like me ?
But Not being a Star Chaser I Just Nodded & Walked on :dontknow:

Zappa was a innovator and a brilliant social commentator. He could play the guitar as well as anybody. His bands were always tight. Even a musically challenged person such as myself could hear that.

I heard him Comment Once , Though some of his songs Lyrics
Were obscene To some. It wasn't the words that mattered as Much as The sound they Made That Contributed to his songs.

Not his exact words of Course. My Interpretation

When I was a kid, my older brother used his 8-Track recorder tape a Zappa mix over one of our fathers Doc Severinsen tapes to listen to in his Duster at the time. Our father used his car once, saw the Severinsen tape and popped it in. He told my brother "Boy, Doc Severinsen has really changed his music". He's 84 now and we still don't know if he was pulling our leg.

I'm no Vai fan. I Do Like Stevie's Spanking.
He is a great Guitarist But
If not for Frank, I wouldn't even know who he was..

Many people don't know that Frank Zappa was the go-to man in London commenting & analyzing on the London markets for the Financial News Network. The markets opened in London well before they opened in the U.S. & it was a hoot to see Bill Griffith, FNN's morning anchor, say; " And now we go to our man in London, Frank Zappa, for his report on the opening numbers. " Then you would see Zappa standing outside the London Exchange wearing a jacket & tie, making his comments.(With the long hair, & the famous Zappa mustache & beard) Good times.
