Spent a long time searching in Phoenix and found nothing. Tens of thousands of dollars searched. Then, after hearing about success from others more than once, I drove to Vegas. Picked up 2 boxes. $1,000 face. Found 16 of the "W" mint marks in two boxes! WIsh I picked up 50 boxes while there. Still, very happy for the few that I have. I have

Average circulation West Point Mint Quarters typically garner $8-$10 at places like EBay. Some more. Some less. My local coin shop only buys rolls, and only IF he already has a buyer.

Time for more coffee.

I average about one every box and a half, so one every 3000 coins. I don’t figure that as very common, especially since I average about one silver dime per 2000 coins. Ws are more scarce than silver dimes.

For whatever reason, I've found quite a few of them in my area. I have prolly 4 or 5 rolls+ total, though admittedly it has slowed down a bit lately~

People have been looking for them in circulation for the past 5 years. Some people (like yourself) found lots of them in bank boxes or rolls when they were first released. You were most likely in an area where they were released to the banks.
