Went to a historical meeting last night where the topic was on the native history of the area (Township).
Not sure if it was a rant (noted phrase by the guest speaker more than a few times).
Interesting, though didn't I see this same shit 50 yrs ago in school?
Yes we know there was a sheet of ice covering this land. 🥱

Interesting take from a teacher/Archaeologist/carver/historian.

I should do a post up in the North American Indian Artifacts forum on a few different things.

We have a Native American history around here....
I will not be artifact hunting on their land as others have been told.. NO!
Pics in link.

While sanding away this afternoon I got the urge to dig some dirt.
Off I went and ran into the permission which turned into a little tour.
Got a couple of Tombacks and a couple of pewter buttons (packed them in dirt) haven't cleaned them up.

Got my first tick walking across my hand as I drove into the yard, little black itty-bitty thing. :BangHead:
Every into the washer, me into the shower, 2 tick checks.

It's called weather, and it has always changed.
In Nevada, where there aren't plowed fields to look for artifacts, I've had to rely on studying the past to be successful. That being said, I done very well noting the shoreline elevation of ancient Lake Lahontan, which covered an enormous portion of this state. Lake Lahontan was the result of the melting of said ice sheet and it really wasn't that long ago.
Now that's climate change!
Anyone that thinks we have any control over it is a blithering idiot.
Yeah its pretty obvious here from certain coastal landmarks that the edges of Oz have been crumbling away before any fossil fuel era or any settlement!
In our dry arid interior regions there are tiny isolated pockets of almost tropical type vegetation showing clearly that it wasn't man that caused it.

First home grown salad tonight. Tastes better without the flavor of Mansanto.
