✅ SOLVED I’m sure it is part of a horse harness rigging, but don’t know exactly.

Found 8” deep on old, bulldozed farm site. Appears to be a swiveling female termination for a harness. The flat part is sandwiching a thick piece of rotted leather. Ferrous metal. I’m guessing brass rivets but too much iron to tell. Lots of harness items found nearby recently. Thanks.
