The Zircon M40 $31.00 to $.41.00 plus tax at hardware stores across our fine nation.
The Zircon Name is famous amoung home builders and owners.
It will detect 2" on non- ferrous metals 4" on ferrous metals.... it is shaped different than the (normal stud finders)so it will fit down the hole.
It has a blue lite that will lite up when the tagret is detected runs a 1 9volt battery (that might come with it.
I have been using the Zircon M40 for a year now and it works great, i find coins, rings at better than 2".
Hope i am not bracking any Rules here if so i am sorry.

For $30 it's worth a try. Thanks for the handyman hint.

Thanks Sandman i got mine at Lowe`s for $36.14 tax included.

Home Depot's website shows that they carry them for $29.95 (without tax).
Looks like it's worth a try. Thanks for the tip.

Update: I went to my local (Los Angeles area) Home Depots (2) and
Lowes (1). Neither carries it in the store yet. You can only order it online
at their websites. I ordered one. Looking forward to trying it out.
