Yup....I'm new...really new

Hello there guys and gals I just joined the forum today, feel pretty good about making it past the image recognition question, only took four tries:laughing7: I live in Mn and and hoping to find someone local to bug, until then, I'll bug each and every one of you! I have some really green questions but I guess I'm not sure if I should post them here or start a thread in the general forum. Other forums I have been on it seems the new member area gets a little overlooked, and it's best to ask in the general forum. Doubt anyone is detecting much in the snow right now, but soon it will melt and I want to get started! Thanks for reading!:hello:

Welcome aboard

good luck to you. haven't seen snow in 17 years, so I cant help you yet. when you thaw out I 'll be here

Welcome aboard! Take a look at Sub-Forums: Minnesota for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

Welcome from White Plains, New York!

Welcome. Snow what snow we just got back from the beach. Me and the little one went swimming. Water was nice with a little chill. Water temp probably around the 74 degree mark. Alot of croakers being caught Looks like its time to break out the fins and snorkle. Swimming season around the corner. I need to back off the swinging and catch some barrels. Dam metal addiction.

Welcome aboard "bottlecap" and nifty handle. I'm surprised someone hadn't picked that up before... You just had to go and say the "S" word I just looked out the window and its doing it again... will this Global Warming never end?

Well I love to get out and detect but compared to most of these folks I'm just a whimp (fair weather detectorist). When its so hot that I'm afraid my detector will melt or so cold it takes a pick axe to dig I will stay in the house and watch detecting vids on the puter.

You have come to the right place, there are a lot of very knowledgeable folks here that are happy to talk and or teach almost any aspect of treasure hunting. You are right we don't always think to go look in the new member section to greet new folks.

Thanks for the welcomes! You guys talking about your swimming and lack of snow don't know what you're missing! I actually love winter! Just got back from playing some hockey with my bro.....arms are falling off I think....very sore. So far this seems like an awesome site with some great people!

Welcome from Birmingham, Alabama. This is a great place to learn about and share safe, effective treasure hunting tips and tricks. Good luck and we look forward to seeing your cool finds.

I am pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome here on the forum and astounded by the number of new members! I have to say that of all the different forums I have been on in all of my different hobbies this one seems to by far have the most people willing to help and give you advice, you guys do a great job making people feel welcome! Thanks!!
