I'll tell you a couple of stories. Not my best finds by any means, but certainly my best stories. I've related them before on other forums, so if you've heard them, just skip ahead:unhappysmiley:

First story. It was summertime, about 1970. I was at a local beach, lying on my back, on a small beach towel, eyes closed, soakin up the rays. My right arm was extended to my right. I kept scoopin up sand, forming a fist, and letting the sand flow through my fingers. Idle play on a summer day.
At one point, after the sand had run through my hand, a small rock was left in my fist. I began to feel the shape of the rock with my fingers. Suddenly, a light went off in my head, I sat bolt upright and opened my eyes and my fist at the same time. There in the palm of my hand was a point! Not much of a point, had an impact fracture, but what were the odds of finding a point lyin on my back with my eyes closed:laughing7:

My second story is a bit strange, but every bit true. I was in the first row of a corn field. My wife was in the last row of the field, about 300 feet away to my left. I was daydreaming as I walked. Suddenly there was a clear outloud voice in my right ear. The voice said "arrowhead!". I spun to my right, where I had a clear view for a good half mile. Nobody in sight. I looked to my left to make sure my wife wasn't kidden with me, but she was still in the last row, and ahead of me in pace, a real good distance away. It had been some kind of auditory hallucination!! Now I could have just laughed and kept walking, but I decided to take it serious. I scanned the ground ahead of me. Nothin. I scanned the ground to my left and right. Nothin. I turned around and scanned where I had already walked. Nothin. I was about to laugh it off and walk on, but instead I said "no, that voice was outloud! There MUST be somethin to it". I stooped down and lifted up a big oak leaf lyin alongside my left foot. Under the leaf, completely hidden from view, was a tiny quartzite arrowhead!! The voice has spoken the truth! And so am I. I could not explain it then, I cannot explain it now. All I know is I wish it would happen on every hunt. It sure would come in handy:laughing7:
