You never know what you're gonna find in them school yards

I found $6.54 in change and some other things in the football field in a junior high school. I thought this fishermans cross was pretty cool.

Nice finds! I have found amazing things in school yards. Seems kids lose the weirdest things. I think schools are my favorite places to hunt. Hh dave.

Pretty cool. I worked a middle school football field a couole years ago for a few months and found anything from coins to gold. Rings, bracelets, even a Eisenhower Dollar. You're right, never know what you'll find on a ms football field.

nice looking gold cross! yep agree about school yards - ya just never know! I was getting some field hours on a new machine several years ago, and decided to it a place that had yielded lots of silver coins from 30, 40, 50's. Got a quarter signal at 3-4" deep and figured it was another clad quarter. It was towards the end of the day and wasn't being very careful. Out pops a 1796 Colonial copper! I was very surprised. Magnified the scratch looks much worse than it is but learned a lesson that day.

Then I found out that the place had some fill dirt that was trucked in long ago. Also pulled a Nova Constellatio with no date (1783-1786) from the same yard - it was 12" deep!

So ya just never know what lies in those school yards...

I have also found a cross just like the one you did. I am sorry to say that it is marked 14K, however it is not real Sorry to be the bed news guy, just thought that you might wanna know.
