I for one dont think i have ever received one cent for anything i have found.

BUT...

I have found lots of cents... and nickels... and dimes....... and yes.... quarters.
Not to mention all the other coinage which was spent as money.

If someone would pay for pull tabs and bottle caps and other metal trash i have found... i would have been rich from detecting long ago.
But they dont.
I have tried.
Heck i cannot even get a banner here for a pristine vintage pull-tab.

Do you mean you are only digging modern coins when you say “money”? If you only dig coin signals, you will only find coins. It took me a couple years to dig my first Buffalo because I wasn’t really digging nickel signals.

Location is very important. Refer to old maps. Pound your oldest parks. Get on your city’s website and see if you can find the dates and locations of street reconstructions, sidewalk replacements or park renovations. Most importantly, keep digging, you will learn your machine and find stuff.

The beaches in Michigan are cheating me! I get can slaw, random iron and steel, Matchbox, clad change, broken chains, ear rings, never a pair, occasionally rings, and digital plastic Timex watches. [Sarcasm, to make it obvious.]

Just once I would like the watch to be a gold Rolex (not fake) ...
