I was into a home project yesterday and clearing out clutter and dusty boxes of past metal detecting purchases I'd made, in order to clear a spot to replace a window. Anyway there were several pinpointer boxes I have collected in years, all light to the feel in weight, but for one. It was the Whites TRX pinpointer box from way back when I got it in back in 2011. It had weight to it when I picked it up, so I looked inside and there was what looked like anther TRX inside. Actually it was my first, original skin, not the whole pointer. I had replaced my TRX skin once when Whites went out of business, just being smart. The old skin is good. I was trying to be pre-emptive in getting a new skin, since these things are getting hard to find and expensive.

Bizarre timing. I was in a very recent on-line shopping mood, looking to buy a new skin for the defunct TRX, and forgot I had already replaced mine.

You don't know what you have sometimes. I ain't organized, shoot me. My first thought when I saw it was, "Did I have an entire TRX?."

As good as finding that stashed money ya forgot about🤘
I've been eyeing that pinpointers, boy it's pricey but must be good with all I've seen around here.

I was lucky when I got mine. It was the retail price of $159 back when Whites was still in business but I got it for $59 after getting a $100 Whites coupon for my story of a find I made with my Whites gear. Damn! I guess this TRX is 10 years old.
