It’s been a crazy hectic week so I’m late to the party with last weekend’s finds. I was back to the school I’ve been doing. Another couple of good finds in the field. Unfortunately one disappointed [emoji2371]

Started my finds with this pendant. The mud was caked on so couldn’t tell much about it but the loop looked promising [emoji1303]

Unfortunately despite it saying Sterling in several places, it’s peeling more than an orange so I’m left with the conclusion it’s good looking junk [emoji22]

Next find was something Yogi lost.

No. Not that one! This one!

It’s the Om symbol from Hindu culture. There are no markings but I’m pretty sure it’s silver.

Only other semi notable find from the day was the 1948 wheat.

Happy hunting and good luck this weekend!

Cool finds!!!! Congrats!!!

Cool finds. Looks like you had a fun day .You are owed some silver now!!!!!!

When it peels, is it copper underneath or more silver? Sometimes there is a coating they put over silver to keep it shiny but it does peel off with silver underneath it. if you aren’t certain it’s worth doing a silver test.

Hmmm. Not sure. When I try scratching it, the silvery stuff peels off but there’s more silver underneath. None of that red color I would expect from copper or that white blossoms I would expect from nickel. I’ll have to get it tested as you suggest.
