Yet another one I can not figure out

Hello all hope you've been out swinging today I came across something unique it's smaller than a penny it has a hole in it it has 1782 on the back and it look like it says 50 on the front there I'll letters and writing but I can't figure them out
Any ideas please let me know

I used to have a tool tag with a number and writing on it. It allowed me to check out tools from the tool room.

I'm not sure what this one is, without a little cleaning.

Additionally tho, I'd also like to recommend a good moisturizer to help relieve the cracked and dried skin. Try some Vaseline Intensive Care, it works pretty good.

Looks like the back says good for 50cents in trade which makes it a token. Or it could be $0.05 if the zero turns out to be a C. Which would make it older

It says good for 50 in trade. On reverse it reads 1782
