Hi everyone,

Once again, I was going through my grandpas stuff, specifically his guns. I have posted already about the M1 carbine and the Luger P08 I found.

Today, I found this. I know what it is, and how to use it, but I’m curious to know if it is a replica and it’s age.

This is a black powder revolver. 44 caliber. Is there anybody here that is good with guns, and is able to tell me if this is a replica or not? If it’s not a replica, how old is it?

There is one other thing that came with it that tells me a hint of the age. This is on the case.

What do you guys think? Replica?

Your grandpa was quite the guy.

He had a really big habit of collecting stuff when he was younger. A lot of stuff he collected he still has. In fact, when I finally finished counting all of his guns, he has two shotguns, one rifle, and four pistols, I think. I lost count.

Looks like a nice quality modern replica. Genuine one would not say "black powder only".

Still a very nice piece and if it was my grandfather's I wouldn't sell it.

Thank you all for getting back. I appreciate it. Sorry it took so long to reply, I’ve had a problem with my email the past few days. I finally got it fixed.

So it’s a replica, huh? Well, that’s OK. Thank you for pointing that out.

One of these days, I’m gonna start a thread to show you all my grandfathers guns. He has some interesting ones. Some are treasures, like the M1 Carbine and the Luger P08.
