Yesterday's finds

I had a nice quick hunt in the woods yesterday. I found a New York coat button, eagle coat button, an Enfield bullet, a three cent silver and a knapsack rivet all in about an hour. And no ticks or chiggers!

Thanks, hutsitedigger. I'm hunting near Richmond and while I can't say they pop up as frequently as I'd like, it's not the first time I've dug New York and eagle buttons side by side.

Argentium, for some reason my reply to you was included in the place where I quoted you. Anyway, it's my fourth 3 cent piece and I'm shocked every time I see one. They are very small. The one I dug yesterday has no date unfortunately. Looks like it was rubbed for luck quite a bit. Thanks.
