Hello everyone, since I havent had the means to detect for the last couple of weeks (car is shot), and the lack of nearby places within walking distance, my detector has just been sitting in the corner. A friend called me and asked if I would like to go to the military show with him, and of course I said yes. After we arrived, we split up to go find the good deals, and there were lots of them but still mostly out of my price range. So to make a long story short, I bought an old colonial bullet mold which still casts a nice ball, a 6lb. solid shot cannon ball, 5 Civil War Sharps bullets, and 1 Maynard bullet. I bought all this for about $30, talk about a deal! I did some research and saw some 6 lb. cannon balls selling from $90-$120, and the same type bullet molds selling for $35-$50. The Sharps bullets sell for between $3-$10 each. There was a lot more there, but unfortunately I had no more cash on me, but oh well, I think I did ok! Let me know what you think. Thanks, God Bless, and Happy Hunting.

It looks like that mould has been buried on some battle field somewhere, as have those bullets. Love the cannon ball, mounted on a stand, would make a great talking piece and a paper weight.

God bless
Peter
