Yesterday's Diamond find

Our third trip digging for diamonds produced our third an largest diamond yet. A 33 point white diamond.

Yes their are some good ones found from time to time. I seem to only be able to find little ones. Lol

Last time I was there, a guy found a small one in the tailings. It was his first time there.

I have only found amethyst and kimberlite. Back in the 80s I remember folks digging 6 foot + deep holes and pulling out small handfuls of diamonds. I was there 4 years ago and it seems like you can't camp out and dig like that anymore. Do you surface hunt or dig mostly to find those?

That's probably the only way I'm going to find a diamond for the gold ring I found years back that was minus the diamond!

Any hole over 2ft deep has to be filled in by the end of the day. An has to be OSHA specks when digging. Me an two other miners have triple teamed digging a hole 7ft deep an pulled 90 full 5 gallon buckets of gravel out of the bottom an found nothing!! Lol

Most of my diamond finds are shallow digs, less than 3 feet, or "scraping" the drains after a good rain.
