I got about 4.5 hours in yesterday afternoon at my new permission that I have been working the last couple weekends. You couldn't ask for a nicer property owner. I brought him a case of Michelob Ultra yesterday because he said that's what he likes. The place is still producing and I still have ground I haven't covered. As I was driving to the place yesterday I was wondering why I hadn't found more buttons - only two in three previous trips. That must have been a premonition because the first two keepers were one piece eagle artillery buttons circa 1830.
I was over four hours into the hunt when silver finally showed up and I could finally call it a day.
Also dug five IHPs. The slick green one is 1873.
Got a couple pretty rough nickels - 1907 V and 1915 Buff.
And this makers tag. It say F. B. Smith / Maker / Pat. September 12, 1882 / Canton, Ohio
I found it on a Whatzit forum. It went on some type of hand siphon.
Finally here are the better keepers from yesterday's hunt.
