Monetarily wise I think not. I'm just a newbie collector looking for help on ID. But thank you for asking. Do you have some you want ID'd?

I have a plethora of marbles that I have picked up at houses I have cleaned out. I just put them in my marble bags and hang onto them. Some are really neat but I know nothing about them.

Some are worth money but these aren't much. I think these are all Alleys. (tired of hearing that yet? :D )

Nah, because every so often you throw me a "maybe" or a "definitely" Ravenswood; keeps me happy. You are more likely tired of seeing them!! How goes your new stuff? I keep looking on AAM for what you are unearthing! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I am sure Cheese would be more than happy to take a look at what you have if you want to post them. As he says, mine are not collectible/valuable in a monetary sense, but I just love anything marbles. It is a fascinating hobby; and a very, very addictive one at that.

Sure, post them if you want.

All of them are collectible. I keep lots of common marbles, thousands. Even though they may be common, they are 50,60, and more years old. Plus you need to look at a lot of marbles before the ID traits start to click in your mind. You can read and learn all sorts of guides and ID traits, but once it gets in your mind, it will become more a sense of recognition... sort of like how you can spot your mother in a crowd of people. Once you learn pelt rainbos, you wil recognize them in a group of marbles easily and same with the others (some swirls aren't so easy though!).

I have to say I never ever ever thot I would get to the point I could ID ANYTHING. But week or so ago my sis in law sent me a phone pic of some she thot I mite want....they were in a baggie, but do you know I could spot the pelts in them - in baggies AND on a phone pic! I was amazed. (and kinda happy with myself!)
