i WENT HOME FOR LUNCH TO FIND MY PACKAGE FROM KELLYCO. I HAD THE DETECTOR ASSEMBLED AND BEEPING IN ABOUT 5 MIN!!!!! I APPLAUD GARRETT FOR MAKING SUCH A USER FRIENDLY UNIT. I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW LIGHT THIS IS. I WENT IN MY YARD FOR ABOUT 10 MIN. AND FOUND 2 PENNIES. I HAVE BEEN OVER THIS YARD A BUNCH WITH MY BH, AND YET IT MISSED THESE. I HOPE TO SHARE MORE GREAT FINDS IN THE FUTURE. CAN'T WAIT TO GET HOME TONIGHT AND PLAY!!!!!

Congrats on the new detector! Looking forward to hearing of your finds. Enjoy HH

Congrats on yours, My 250 arrived at 6:30 pm. Figures it would be raining right when I want to try it out. I have 2 other detectors, an old whites and a Discovery / Bounty Hunter and have hunted my yard pretty good, anxious to see what the 250 will find.

just a quick tip i learned from a previous post.........a regular plastic sandwich bag makes a pretty darn good control housing cover for hunting in the rain and sand! just remember to remove it when you are done so the moisture trapped inside the bag wont damage the internal parts of your detector. god luck hunting!

Greg, you're going to love your ACE 250. I've had two other more expensive models and I still like to take out the ACE quite a bit. It's a coin shooters heaven and will bang out those coins like clock work. I mean bang too because it is loud! You either have to have volume adjusting earphones or take 'em off to use it. Today I went to a park , another outside basketball court where I had been over a couple of times and started finding pennies ever foot or so. I finally got tired of digging pennies and discriminated out everything but quarters. I went around the court once rather quickly before I had to leave and banged out 4 quarters. Let us know how you like it.

Hey Jimmileo, I know what you mean!! I found 24 more cents this evening and this thing is definetly loud on coins. I bought mine from Kellyco and it came with a bunch of goodies including volume adj. headphones. I'm very impressed with this machine. If I ever need another detector, I will absolutely look at Garrett first!!!! :) :) Thanks to all of you who have posted about this machine. I think Jeff should start a new forum for us ACE250 proud owners!!!!!!

Ok, got my 250 out for about 30 minutes after work tonight. Went to an older house that I have hunted probably 10 times with my old whites geb/discriminator. Like a true man I started before reading the manual that comes with it and I found it a very simple machine to use. Was able to find 7 pennies and a dime, all clad in about 30 minutes. Making a coin garden so I can see how deep she'll go because here in Florida where I live, the coins sink fast and deep. What is the average depth on the ACE250???

the deepest coin i have ever found with my ace has been a 1912d wheat cent at about 7 or 8 inches. it was an iffy signal and i have yet to dig another that deep but it did find that one.i guess i also should add that i had my sensitivity really cranked up high as this area didnt have much trash in it.

I went to my brother-in-laws house over in Ark this weekend and helped him locate some underground electric utility lines. I don't dnow how deep they are but the ACE just registered 8+". He said he thought they are about 18" deep. This probably isn't a true test because of all the copper and voltage running through the lines probably created a unique target. I did dig up a couple of aluminum stirps that were in the same hole at about 10". They kept showing a weak signal indicating a half dollar at 8+" which is as deep as the ACE will register.
