Had a rough week so I went out and bought mostly stuff I like , Will probably keep a lot of it :laughing7:

Went to a barn sale of someone who has bean collecting junk in the area for fifty years.
Picked an old wooden box with key , a sick call box , some army records , trench art lamp, Part of an old western electric speaker, and some glass lenses. The Sick box is incomplete , but I liked the box.
Spent about $90

Also picked up a Really old Time Switch from my "Junk Man" buddy spent $70

Nice stuff ! That time switch is way cool !

I like that time switch, too! Any idea what the lenses go to? And what the heck is a "sick call box"?

The time switch is really cool and it seams to work

Some of the lenses are for traffic lights not sure on the others yet.

A sick call box is has everything for a last rites ceremony

I like the trench art lamp. I've never heard of a last rites kit. That's cool!

I like the sick call kit. I'm always buying religious items. Found an old bone beaded rosary today, along with a large crucifix.

Stuff like this makes me miss good old fashioned New England estate auctions and barn sales. Here in Tennessee we don't usually even bother to stop since 99% of what you find is baby toys and clothes. Another thing they do here at alot of auctions that I've never seen up North is to sell outdated food. In NH they just gave it to the farmers to feed their pigs.. I suspect it would be illegal to sell up there.

I love the items you bought and even thought the sick call kit isn't complete it is still cool.
