Yes, today the long silver drought was brokenby a find I almost did not make! Had a fairly decent signal at around 5 inches but there were other signals right near it. First I found a piece of aluminum can in the side of the hole and almost thought that was it. So then I scanned the plug with probe and no sounds. Then for some reason I swept the detectors search coil over the plug and got a high tone. Then on checking more closely I noticed a silvery reeded type edge showing in the plug. I was like yeah! Anyways into the coin water it went. Later on getting home I found it was a 1917 mercury. Also got a wheat penny earlier but couldn't tell date. It turned out to be a 1928 after getting it washed a bit later at home. So I got two oldies that day and one silver that day. Thanks for looking and Happy Hunts!
