Hello

I am sure most of you already realize this , but I figure I would bring it up anyway. My fellow TNetters, I realize many of you here tend to hunt in parks, beaches and woods. These are all excellent places to hunt! However, I have one important question...

Ever try your own backyard? I'm talking the corners, near the sides of the house, even underneath stepping stones!!
If you haven't tried hunting your backyard or frontyard, I suggest you get your gear and try it!

Why? The first month after getting my detector I did a quick trip through my yard...
The first hit were

2 1930s lawn sprinklers and a crucifix!!
In execellent shape too!
Then, I tried my backyard and found several korean war era military pins!!
and a candaian cent.

This is more than I have found anywhere else too!

Larry

Re: First time treasure hunters, yard hunting.

I found a 43 rosie in my back yard and my house was built in '56!

Re: First time treasure hunters, yard hunting.

My daughter and I have had a blast, my house was built in 2006. We have found about 30 nails, some other type of connector for dry wall or plywood and a fork. When I get my new fisher, I'll be back there again.

Woo Hoo!

Re: First time treasure hunters, yard hunting.

i just spent a couple of hours in my frt yard yesterday and only hunted half of it and came up with $1.64 and a silver 57 nickle to boot. and my frt yard is only abt 40x80.
will get to the rest of it when i get to it cuz i know noone else is going to plunder my booty.
