First off" I would like to thank everyone for the interest and requests for a total rundown of everything I've found :tongue3: "right in my own back yard" :tongue3:-, I never really hunted this property before, because I could never get any machine to hold a steady ground balance, this year seems to be different. My new machine? or different ground conditions? :icon_scratch:who knows!...I have 2 maps, one from 1874, and another one from aprox 1853, both maps list different names and different structures being present at different times. Im still comparing names to old military records for this area. So my spare time spent at the library :icon_study: and copy machine is starting to get quite interesting.

The large cents are dated 1812, 1818, and 1820, The 1820 large cent clearly shows the 20 over 19 compared to the photo in my detecting bible (red book) I also thought the lantern was an interesting find at 6 inches. It was positioned upwards and i had to dig around and under it to get it out in one piece. All keepable items were found in a half acre area with the plates being found about 50 feet from my door step. Im pretty sure its all cleaned out, I havnt had a solid signal in a week, just the usuall nails and assorted rusty scrap. Ill keep looking for the box plate though. And I just want to thank all the great members who have expressed thier interest in my finds and hope everyone enjoys the clearer pictures.

holy shnikies. you have the mother lode back yard!!!!!! Not quite sure as to what a 20 over 19 means but sounds like its good lol. I'm pretty new so maybe someone can explain it to me. That buckle is absolutly beautiful. Congratulations man. I cant wait to see what else you pull out of there.

Very nice haul from your yard. Have you made plans to hunt the neighborhood yet?
I am in the process of doing so and its proving rewarding.
Remember though, your yard is never hunted out.
Make sure to go over it each year after winter as the objects in the ground get moved around.

Donny

All I can say is, "WOW!!!!!" Wonderful finds!!! Congrats!! HH!!!!!

That is just an awesome collection - and right from your own yard! You've got a museum there!!!

Even your junk finds are awesome!! Man, when I get back to Michigan, I'm digging EVERYTHING I get a signal on - you never know what those iffy signals might reveal in an old 1800's farmhouse property.

Great work!

Jim

AWESOME----You have found the mother load, Prolab
Congrats on those great finds.

Nice buckles, seriously, Excellent LC 20/19...How old are the plain buckles and how do you date them?

Bad A$$ finds in the yard perhaps diging a trench in the most heavly iorn spot and sifting it would be productive also.

If you email your address, I'll come over and help with the rest of the house. Amazing stuff, especially the over date large cent. Congrates,
Carl
