Hey folks,

two unknown finds from a quick dig on my property today. Any help is appreciated!

Well, the first one is trigger guard to an old gun. I'm not an expert, but I'd say somewhere mid to late 19th century. The iron item I THINK is an old piece of galvanized pipe, about 100 years old or so. They used some elbows like that about that time, even more recent.

The first picture is most likely a trigger guard for an m1841 rifle. If you could post some pictures when it’s cleaned up, that would help. Cool finds

I think pic #2 is a spout from a teapot. I was a plumber by trade and don't recall any pipe with that type of ell 90*on it .

Greetings HI, been a while! Nice finds!

I think Joe has the trigger guard ID right. I like the pour spout idea too. What you're looking at there
is a piece that used to enamelware. That's what it looks like when the enamel comes off. Common
on old time coffee pots.

Best wishes!

Appreciate it, Phil!

Life's been busy, so I haven't been able to get out a whole lot lately. I'm always amazed at the wealth of knowledge in this place, and how fast these things are ID's.

We fellers of the "Old Dominion" do what we can for each other!

Take this from an old guy, don't ever, ever deny yourself to claim some of your time to be MINE "and you can't have it!"

After all, "All work and no play!".

Best wishes!

P.S. Together, these finds could easily spell camp!
