"YAMBUNA" River boats and red gum [lots of pics and finds]
Hi everyone,Today I took the family up to the in-laws farm,130 miles north of me.The farm is located a place called Yambuna up on the river country near the border with N.S.W. The area was settled in 1870"s under govenment land alotments.paddle-steamers use to bring supplys up the river and take farm produce down stream. My in-laws have had the farm since the 1870's.Plenty of relic and bottles to be found, but these farmers had little money or wealth. In the summer when the river is down plenty of good surface finds to get.We all had a big family lunch and in the afternoon i went out relic hunting for a few hours.here a few pics of finds and of some of the spots on the farm. There even a church that holds a service once a month.the nearest town is 30 miles away and most of the roads are just gravel.
