because if you dont nobody else will. This was found sticking out of the river bank near where the shell was found last week.I told my daughter someone here ??? suggested that some relics may be in the area of the shell and keep an eye out. Yesterday the girls and boyfriend found this half buried in the riverbank but it has an odd shape for an axe if thats what it is. From its condition i think its fairly old.

I don't think its as old as your thinking but I could be wrong. Part of a more modern boat prop would be my guess to

Modern props are more likely stainless or aluminum and older props more likely brass/bronze.

Agree with the ax / axe idea - since they were folded when made I can see it rusting that way.

dang cypress I could see if my hubby had pick from a selection like. Why so many different types?

if this helps a lot more old stuff is out there but not metal. A yoke for oxen is out there but its to hard to get out...aa

i dont know. ;D I got the chart from one of Montana Jims old posts.
