I just ordered the XP 280 backpack\finds pouch combo from Big Boys Hobbies to go along with my Equinox 900 I purchased from there. Should be ready to saddle up with the new rig and hit the field this coming weekend. As soon as Feb. 1st arrives I won't have to worry about getting shot by a deer hunter. Hoping this mild winter continues without snowfall so that I can hunt the wetlands before those pesky ticks emerge.
It kinda feels sacrilegious to carry a Minelab detector and pointer into the field in a XP bag. Minelab only offers a small field backpack which is not surprisingly, out of stock. After they count their current pile of money they should put their engineers on it. Has anyone else found a good detector backpack? I go deep into the woods so i need to pack a fair amount of stuff.
I was going to buy the lesser XP 240 backpack, but after watching the video for the 280 it seemed as though I would be ready to go on an expedition with the French Foreign Legion deep into Minelab country.
