I have the skull, pectoral fin and a few rib remnants of an immature Xiphactinus. I have never done this before and have run into some problems. Does anyone have experience with fossil preparation? This is from the Niobrara formation in Western Kansas. I would try to explain here but it would be long and boring. Maybe if someone is interested and willing to share information I could call and try to explain over the phone.
