I know I am missing something obvious and I will be eternally grateful if someone can point out how stupid that I am. (along with a suggestion proving that you aren't nearly as dumb as I am, of course)
I am trying to import a previously saved mlf file into the latest xChange2 program. I have 5 folders, 2 of which are empty and 2 of which have the Minelab samples in them. 1 file has data from a short hunt. When I click on FILE to get the import/export icons, it takes me to the hunt data (and ONLY the hunt data) and if I proceed from there to import a file, it warns me that the data in the file will be lost. That's where I stop.
Does clearing the contents of the File preserve my data in its original folder and make it safe to import another file?
Any ideas how to import a file without losing my data? I asked at another forum but no one had any ideas they were willing to share.
