Took it on a relic site today.....1813 British half stiver IMG_1792.JPGIMG_1791.JPG

I believe what you found is an Essequibo & Demerara Guyana Half Stiver. It was a British colony back then.

Thanks wish I would have had better pics but gave it to the land owner. I will be going back there.

Great Video and great find.
Good for you giving it to the land owner.
Makes us all look better.
Thanks

Another super find. Congrats :icon_thumleft:

Nice one Calabash. I found a half stiver last year. Like you I had no idea what the heck I had when I pulled it out of the ground. :laughing7:

There are Stivers (and Stuivers) from several different countries including: The Netherlands (all silver), Indonesia, Ceylon (Sri Lanka), and Curacao (when it belonged to the Netherlands, but, no 1/2 Stiver produced).

Nice hunt and video...congratulations! :occasion14:

:icon_thumright: You'll get a handle on that Deus one
of these days :laughing7: good video....
Lil bit

Im trying !!! lol

Calabash, have you used both the 9" X35 and the 11" X35 coils? Trying to decide which one to get. Curious if the tonal nuances are along the lines of the lf 9" & 11". (I like the way the lf 9" smacks coin sized non ferrous targets)

Mark - I have the 11" x35 and feel the same way about it that I feel about the 11" LF in that I agree with you that the 9" coil smacks those coin sized targets better and I always preferred my 9" LF and HF coils to the 11". But I got the 11" x35 to maximize depth and coverage and will fall back on my 9" HF for coin shooting and buttons at moderate depths. If you want that 9" like performance, I would suggest the 9" x35, though I have not run one myself. HTH.

Great diplomacy! Congrats on a great find!

Have not used the 11 yet.

I have used both the 11" and the 9" x35 coils. My initial impressions are that they are both very chatty and prone to EMI compared to the HF coils (not even in same ballpark as the NOX), but the 11" is a little noisier (makes sense since it's larger). They seem to both get a little deeper than the HF, but only if EMI is low or gone. The 11" gets maybe an 1" or 2" deeper than the 9" in general. But the 11" seems to have a little slower signal reactivity (sound) than the 9". I prefer the 9", but like vferrari stated I have the 11" for covering more ground and getting a little deeper (open fields). Frequencies for the x35 are uneventful at 4, 8, 12 and 16 IMO. I have gotten the best performance and stability out of the 25kHz frequency so far. I feel like the depth at 25kHz for the 9" x35 coil is close to or better than the HF 9" round coil at 14kHz. I also haven't gotten much more depth on any kind of target using the x35 coils at 4, 8, 12 or 16 kHz than the 25kHz. I feel like it separates well at depth as well at the 25kHz compared to the lower frequencies. Do others have similar experiences?

Thanks for the input, guys. Looking like I can't go wrong on the 9" x35. Might entertain the thought of the 11" or 11"x13" depending on how the large Equinox coil performs when it finally gets released.
Now if we could get those crops harvested on my permissions.....

As an elliptical, the 11x13 will have about the same performance as the 11" round. It will mainly just buy you the 2" of increased swing coverage.

Not seeing that coil. All I'm seeing are the 6", the 11", and the 12x15".Screenshot_20180907-202523_Chrome.jpeg

Laidback, if the equinox large coil performs really well (when it's available), I will likely not consider one of the larger x35 deus coils is what I was trying to say. But very interested in the 9" x35
Sorry for the confusion.

Doh! I just realized something. Wrong machine, lol. My bad.
