X-Terra 70 is this the right one for me?

Hi,
I'm a new member. My first treasure was finding this wonderful site! After doing a fair bit of research it seems the X-Terra 70 might be the model for my purpose? I plan on hunting for gold in creeks 80% of the time and relics, coins 20% here on Vancouver Island and Southern British Columbia, Canada. Never used a detector yet. Do you think I should upgrade my model choice? I don't want to sell myself short. Thanks a lot and happy hunting.......Erik
