On my place I have two abandoned railroad bridges that the US Army had guarded during the Pancho Villa days, WWI and WWII. I felt like I had hunted out the east bridge with my old Whites Prizm IV. I have since upgraded to a Whites MXT and to my surprise I found three more buttons and a 1907 nickel that I must have walked over fifty times. What a blast!! I have found a couple hundred 30-06 shells, but didn't figure anyone would get too excited to see those. Coins include four V Nickels (1907,1905, 1905, 1897), two Wheaties (1910, 1913D), one Indian Head (1905), and a Barber Dime (1902). Here are some of the items found from the east bridge.

Thanks for viewing--Kinley.

30/06 ammo entered US Military service in 1906 - 1907 ------ Which would put it in the right era of the coins
The DogTag is pre WW1
If you can read the name , you can more than likely find it on a Vet Admin link or military history records for the period

love that stuff

MAN !!! Wish I had 2, not 1 but 2 !!!!! old bridges to hunt, and owned them to boot !!!! Congrats on all of your finds, love the dog tags !!!

Thanks for the nice comments. it has been really fun exploring where these bridges once stood. I am truly fortunate to have purchased both of them. The circular rock structures, with barbed wire around them are still intact. I have had a lot of fun. I hope some more things turn up!!!

Thanks again,
Kinley
